Mainstream Media Embraces the Culture of the Far Right

Never fails to amaze just how far to the right the mainstream media has gotten over the last 10-15 years. The myth of the "liberal media" has long since been debunked. Now, with the media in constant fear of being called "liberal," has decided to embrace the talking points of conservatives rather than do any actual reporting. Here is an example of it from today's AOL News (owned by Huffington Post, which is attacked as being liberal):
Note the use of the derogatory term, "Obamacare," in the headline. The only people who use that term are Republicans and tea partiers. It is a thinly veiled attack on Pres. Obama. Now, does one ever, in mainstream media circles, see the term "teabagger" used when describing a member of the tea party? Teabagger is a derogatory term used by the left to describe the tea party; yet it is not being embraced by the media. This is true even though the term teabagger was the original name used by the tea party before discovering it was a slang term for a gay sex act. Oh well....
Thanks anyways, liberal media.
