Omaha's Religious Community Issues Apology to Gays

In a very rare move, dozens of Omaha clergy are issuing a proclamation that calls for an end to civil and religious discrimination against gays. The proclamation also includes an apology.

Rev. Eric Elnes, minister at Countryside Community Church, said that the proclamation was important and necessary because these ministers, "were just fed up with the popular notion that the Christian point of view is anti-gay."

More than 100 ordained ministers signed the proclamation. This is a great starting point!
