I'm not calling Republicans Nazis, but remember Hitler was elected, too. |
The most corrupt Congress in US history, which the American people soundly removed from office in 2006 after more than a decade, is back. Thanks to the media and its infatuation with the fringe tea party "movement," this Congress is even more extreme than the one before.
Be prepared to hear arguments that corporations are people and deserve every Constitutional protection that US citizens do (even if they are based somewhere in Dubai for "tax purposes"), but minorities deserve no protections - and bear the burden of a presumption of guilt wherever they go. Or how about the one that says cutting taxes for millionaires and billionaires actually increases revenue to the government? Or how about the one that says it wasn't deregulation of the banks that led to the economic collapse, it was poor minorities who were living it up with money they didn't deserve? Or the one that says outsourcing jobs to China and India strengthens the US economy and helps American workers? Or the one that says paying people a living wage kills jobs? Or the one that says ensuring that all Americans have access to quality health care kills people? Or the one that says unions - not a decrease in tax revenue to due to sweeping tax cuts for the wealthy - are responsible for all debt at the state level? These are just a few of the ridiculous arguments you will be hearing from this crowd, without even a hint of a follow-up question from the so-called liberal media. Let the insanity begin!

Mr. Boehner gets weepy when talking about himself |
And how about that GOP leader, the new Weeper of the House, John Boehner? When not busy tanning, drinking, or crying, Mr. Boehner has been known to walk the floor of the House giving out bribes to his fellow Republicans from the industries he is supposed to be regulating. Remember when Boehner passed out checks from the tobacco companies on the House floor? Even some Republicans were shocked by the brazen corruption, "But if it is not illegal, it should be," said Representative Linda Smith (R-WA). Yeah, it should be, but under GOP control, the House of Representatives will be functioning less like a governing body and more like a whore house -- with Boehner as the Madam.
Congratulations, America. You just gave the keys back to the people who drove us off a cliff the last time. Why would anyone expect different results?
Hey, Mr. Boehner, where are the jobs?
