Let's face it. If you could find anything to complain about regarding last night's memorial for the victims in Tucson or about President Obama's speech, than you are nothing more than a petty, sad, partisan hack (the full text of the speech can be read here). You know, once in a while, you need to take of the tea party, Republican, conservative, liberal, Democrat hat and just be an American. Last night was one of those nights.
However, the perpetual outrage machine on the right is working overtime. Numerous conservative pundits and bloggers are complaining about the free t-shirts given to attendees at the speech. The t-shirts say "Together We Thrive, Tucson & America." Yeah, pretty controversial. Right-wing radio host and Palin confidant, Tammy Bruce called the event, "Massacre Rally Theater." What is it about people getting along, putting aside their political differences and acknowledging we are all Americans that makes conservatives so angry?

Right on, Dave!
What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?
Tammy Bruce must really be a mean-spirited moron. She probably didn't bother to read the text of the president's speech, and if she did, she would probably criticize him for demonstrating some leadership in attempting to console not just those in Tucson, but around the nation.
Yeah, I got up this morning and was channeling surfing and there was that nasty little twat Michelle Malkin calling the Tucson event a political rally and criticizing Obama for going to Arizona. And of course if he hadn't, she'd be criticizing for staying in Washington. These people are unbelievable.
I don't know why I even expect differently. It seems impossible for tea party/fringe right-wingers to even dial it down for a day. Even a minute.
