Why does Sen. Coburn hate the troops and love Al-Qeda? |
Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) has joined a growing chorus of lawmakers, both Democrats and Republicans, who are calling for cuts in the defense budget as a way to reduce the deficit. In addition to Coburn, Senator-elect Rand Paul (R-KY), Senator-elect Pat Toomey (R-PA), Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), and Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA) have all stated publicly that reducing the deficit "begins with cuts to the defense department" (that is a direct quote from Isakson).
My question to these Republican lawmakers is why do you hate the military and the troops? Why do you want America to lose the war? Are you in support of Al Qeda winning the war on terror and imposing Sharia law on America?
These questions/attacks were all used on Democrats who, as the minority party in the Senate, called for cuts to the defense budget. When will the so-called liberal media ask these conservatives the same biased, partisan questions?

I think you will find that these guys want to have targeted tax cuts that eliminate waste.
The Democrats simply want to cut funding for the Department of Defense much like Clinton did during his terms.
How do tax cuts reduce the defense budget? That makes no sense.
But I guess when you believe that reducing taxes (and reducing revenue to the treasury) magically makes more revenue appear out of nowhere, you are likely to believe just about anything :)
Oops. Yeah, that is confusing. It should have read "spending cuts" instead of tax cuts.
