Quote of the Day

"I am a firm believer in strong (political) parties, and things that weaken the parties and place the outcome of elections in the hands of billionaires who can write checks and political consultants who can get themselves hired by billionaires who write the checks, give me some concern." - Karl Rove,November 10, 2004

Right on, Mr. Rove! (Are you listening Mr. Soros?!?!)

Clearly you miss the point of my post. It is the right who is utilizing secret donations from millionaires and billionaires (and foreign corporations and governments) to advance its jobs outsourcing agenda.

Soros is the boogey man for the right, but he has spent about 10% as much as the Koch brothers.

Rove's American crossroads is being funded by three billionaires. Three. Hardly represents the will of the people.

Billionaires give 91 percent of funds for Rove-tied group.

A little bit on the billionaires writing checks that conservatives "hate" so much.

Because millionaires, billionaires, and multinational corporations never support the Republican Tea Party

Rove is a master politician. As usual, as in this case, most things which come out of his mouth are utter crap, and are little more than mere projection.

Talk about one's own party, insinuate that it's the other guys who are at fault, or maybe even everyone is at fault (that seems to be the "tea party" stance, anyway)... but do whatever you can to distract people from noticing what your own people are doing.

Or in this case, distract people from noticing what Rove himself is doing. Sheesh.

Rove, Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, and most on the right use little more than projection to make all of their arguments. It's a basic tactic, and one that the mindless followers who watch Fox have no real understanding of.
