Hard to believe that there was a time when I really disliked Dylan Ratigan. He used to be on CNBC, and whenever he made appearances on MSNBC, I felt like he was towing the conservative economic line. But then he was abruptly fired from CNBC, and a month or so later, he was hired to host his own show on MSNBC. I have been impressed with the guy ever since.
On his show yesterday, his guest was some Teabagging wingnut named Mark Williams (the guy who said on CNN that the President of the United States is an "Indonesian Muslim and a welfare thug."). Ratigan became enraged when Williams refused to distance himself and the tea party movement from the racist and Nazi elements that consistently show up at their rallies. The teabag leaders claim that they have nothing to do with those folks, yet no one in the movement ever asks them to leave or even tries to shame them into leaving. Frustrated, Ratigan kicked the guy off his show. Way to go Dylan!!
