I Need a New Laptop

Any suggestions? It has to be Windows, as I am unwilling to switch to Mac. Let me know if you've found anything worth getting.

If I were a leftist, I would be demanding that the government provide a laptop for me at taxpayers' expense. :) Just think about what a stimulus for the economy that would be!

In all seriousness though, I bought a laptop for my wife from this Utah company and it has been excellent. The company is called PC Laptops. They use high end parts and put them together so they run very well. They have a lifetime free service warranty too for laptops and lifetime warranty on service and parts for desktops.
Even if you hose up your laptop with viruses etc, they will fix it for free.

They will cost you a little more but they are probably worth the extra expense. I have heard that even their turn around for service work is typically just a few days. You wouldn't get that quick of service from Dell etc.

Anyway, take the suggestion for what you paid for the advice, sir. :)

Sony vaios never did me wrong, my last sony survived two tours in Iraq. Expensive, but last twice as long as a dell or HP.
