At Least Some Places Have Retained Their Sanity

The Minnesota Independent is reporting that 56% of Minnesotans are "embarrassed" by Rep. Michele Bachman. That's right, when the fine folks in her home state were asked, "Do you think Congresswoman Michele Bachmann does Minnesota proud in Congress or embarrasses Minnesota," a whopping 56% called her an embarrassment. Ummm...but I thought she was the future of the Republican Party and a hero to teabaggers everywhere.

But...having lived in the great state of Minnesnowta, I can say with certainty that 56% of Minnesotan's are probably embarassed by Franken, as they are by Bachman, and were by Wellstone. Minnesotans don't like brash people...period, no matter what party they belong to.

As for T. Paine's assinine "abrassive" comment, one can only compare Franken to that helmut-headed prick Coleman who only managed to get elected by capitalizing on the tragic death of the Paul Wellstone and a large chunk of his family. Franken, at least, pokes the right people.

Coleman would not likely have won had the Democrats not turned the Wellstone funeral into a DNC campaign rally. THAT was abrassive and uncouth to boot!

I don't know. I think the entire narrative about how Wellstone's funeral became some rally is a wee bit exaggerated. He was a politician, after all. If one or two people said something political, I hardly think that was inappropriate.
