Santa Gets a Cheney Style "Enhanced Interrogation"

Hey, Santa had no papers and was found "on the battlefield" with a bunch of undocumented reindeer.

I am not sure whether I am amused or repulsed by this. Frankly we need the spirit of St. Nicholas all year long, but we also need more Jack Bauer's to keep our country safe from those real boogey men that do exist out there is the world.

Hey, look, despite being an anti-torture liberal who thinks the US should adhere to the Geneva Convention, I enjoy the show "24." Unfortunately, it seems conservatives have trouble recognizing the difference between a TV show and reality. Jack Bauer isn't a real guy, and the scenarios he encounters don't really exist. But it is good entertainment.

How dare you say Jack Bauer isn't real! :) I realize that "24" is over the top compared to reality about 99.5% of the time, but I guarantee that sometimes there are probably situations that have occured in the recent past where a Jack Bauer-type was vital to saving lives.

All of that being said, I think the U.S. does a remarkable job of abiding by the Geneva conventions, despite the fact that our foes definitely do not.

We provide them Islam-appropriate meals three times a day, shelter, opportunities to pray (and even Korans), and previously we had military tribunals to adjudicate their claims, while they torture and cut the heads off of our captured people.

Sorry, but my sympathies do not lie with these human scum.
