What a Horrible Message To "Indoctrinate" Kids With

"No matter what you want to do with your life - I guarantee that you’ll need an education to do it. You want to be a doctor, or a teacher, or a police officer? You want to be a nurse or an architect, a lawyer or a member of our military? You’re going to need a good education for every single one of those careers. You can’t drop out of school and just drop into a good job. You’ve got to work for it and train for it and learn for it.And this isn’t just important for your own life and your own future. What you make of your education will decide nothing less than the future of this country. What you’re learning in school today will determine whether we as a nation can meet our greatest challenges in the future" - President Barack Obama

"Obama says he wants kids to study hard which we all know is a slippery slope to becoming a Nazi" - concerned conservative parent

Oh come on now! That video clip is absolutely a farce and not someone saying those things in earnest. And in the slimmest chance she was serious, then she is indeed an idiot. Please tell me you didn't think this was real!

By the way, in reference to an earlier debate we had, it has since come to my attention of just how the left would act if the tables were turned.

It seems back in 1991, President George H.W. Bush spoke in a classroom for broadcast to schools throughout the country. The left went nuts saying how he was using the classroom as a politcal prop for his re-election campaign. Then-house-majority-leader Dick Gephardt even called for an investigation. I guess that puts the lie to how the left would respond with politeness and give a Republican president the benefit of the doubt if the tables were turned.

The video is not real, you are correct. But it is hardly any different than the screaming, crying lunatics going on and on about how they want "their country" back.

As for the 91 Bush thing, I heard about that too. But Bush would not release the text in advance, as Obama did. So there is a difference. A small one, sure, but it is a difference.

But Ronald Reagan did the same thing in 1988 and "the left" did not complain.
