GOP Chooses a Birther To Respond to President Obama's Speech

You gotta love the Republican party -- keeping it classy as always. Tomorrow night, President Obama is going to deliver a speech to a joint session of Congress, and make a final push toward compromise on health care reform. The Republican response will be delivered by Rep. Charles Boustany (R-LA), who was a surgeon before being elected to Congress. Boustany is an odd choice for two reasons.

For one, Boustany was a co-sponsor of the bill that proposed Medicare pay for end of life counseling. So, he is a big "death panel" guy. Second, Congressman Boustany is a birther. Watch in this video how the good doctor says there are "questions" as to whether or not Barack Obama is really the president. And this idiot went to medical school? Really?

I can believe that. Bill Frist was a surgeon, was Republican leader in the Senate, and is dumber than a box of rocks.
