As I planned to do, I woke up early and hit my polling place about 7:30 am. It opened at 8. There were maybe 35-40 people ahead of me in line. Once it turned 8, the line moved pretty rapidly, and I was voting by 8:10 or so.
I cast my vote for Obama, Esch, Kleeb, the remainder of the Dems on the ballot, and said "no" to most of the judges up for re-election. I also voted "no" on 424, because I don't want the Nebraska Constitution to ban affirmative action.
I'm cautiously optimistic about the results tonight, but I am still feeling a little stressed. I'm heading to the gym right now to have a good run in the hopes that it will relieve some of my anxiety. I also have the Stephen Malkmus show tonight at Slowdown. Hopefully, it will be a celebratory gig.
