Van Halen is upset that John McCain is using their song, "Right Now" as part of his campaign. The band does not want to be associated with the candidate, and said that "Permission was not sought or granted nor would it have been given."
A commenter at Huffington Post could not decide which was worse: using the song without permission or choosing a Sammy Hagar era Van Halen song to begin with. Good question.
