Okay, okay, the moment the right wing in this country has been waiting for has happened - Fidel Castro has resigned. The world's longest "serving" dictator is stepping down from his post.
I have two questions in light of this news: 1) Can the US now adopt a sane trade/travel policy with Cuba? We allow travel to Vietnam and China (both Communist nations) and trade heavily with both nations. Why continue our unilateral boycott? 2) Will the right-wing Cubans who have been living in Miami (and holding our foreign policy hostage for 40+ years) go back to Cuba? I, for one, am tired of hearing all the whining about Castro and the longing for the old days in Cuba. Castro is stepping down, so perhaps it's time for you all to return.
Just a thought.
