The John Edwards "love child" story is bogus. Everyone seems to realize this except of course for the wingnut blogosphere. The entire made-up scandal is based around a rumor peddled to the National Enquirer by a discredited right-wing douchebag named Mickey Kaus. I will not link to the story because I feel it gives it more credence. However, even the Enquirer story itself reveals the bogus nature of the rumor as the woman having the so-called love child (Ms. Rielle Hunter) denies it 100%.
In a statement issued to The ENQUIRER through her attorney, Rielle said: "The fact that I am expecting a child is my personal and private business. This has no relationship to nor does it involve John Edwards in any way. Andrew Young is the father of my unborn child."
There you go. Done and done. So besides Drudge, Malkin, Limbaugh, and Fox News, everyone seems to understand that this is a made-up, bullshit story that has nothing to do with truth, and everything to do with the fact that in polls, John Edwards beats every Republican running for president by the widest margin of every Democrat running. Politics as usual for the intellectually and morally bankrupt Republican Party.
