Ann Coulter: Pollsters Aid Al-Queda

Have you heard who the newest enemy is in the "war on terror"? Those Yugoslavians from Jersey? No. Some weekend warriors with paintball guns? No. The new enemy, according to wingnut hero Ann Coulter, are pollsters. Coulter says that any poll that shows Democrats beating Republicans in the 2008 presidential election is made up to aid al-Queda. She was referring specifically to a Newsweek poll that showed Barack Obama beating all of the top Republicans. "I think this is Newsweek doing more push polling for al-Queda," she said. Naturally, she did not offer a shred of evidence to back her claim, nor did she offer an explanation as to how this would help al-Queda. An appropriate follow-up question would have been something regarding al-Queda's #2 Ayman Al-Zawahri's endorsement of Bush's Iraq "surge" strategy. He said this about the bill that W. just vetoed, "This bill will deprive us of the opportunity to destroy the American forces which we have caught in a historic trap." If you ask me, Bush (and his cheerleaders like Ann Coulter) is doing more to advance al-Queda's agenda than a poll that accurately reflects the opinions of the American people. But, hey...that's just me.
