For my last couple shows of the year, I will be playing songs from the best albums of 2006. I average about 25 songs per show, so I am going to come up with a Top 50. Any recommendations? Get 'em in quick. I am doing this Sunday night's playlist tonight. Since I have to be on the air New Years Eve, I am planning a special, "freeform" show that will be unlike any I have done in the past. Unless, of course, I can get out of working on New Year's Eve and then you will hear something resembling every other night on the station.I don't have my list complete yet, but so far I am leaning toward Silversun Pickups' Carnavas for album of the year.

Anything off the Film School, Mew or Hold Steady cds.
Film School and The Hold Steady will likely make the list. I wasn't feeling the Mew record. I could give it another try if I have some time.
I like the Film School CD a lot. I was very impressed with the new Who disc. My vote goes to "Gang of Losers" by The Dears.
