Police in China are cracking down on "striptease" funerals. "Striptease used to be a common practice at funerals in Donghai's rural areas to allure viewers. Local villagers believe that the more people who attend the funeral, the more the dead person is honored." This would never fly in the United States. I would say I want this type of thing for my funeral, but I'll be dead and won't enjoy it anyway.
In a related story, some people in Wellington, New Zealand are upset about a promotion for the "Erotica Expo" in their town. Apparently, the organizers of the event held a parade that featured 25 topless pornstars riding on motorbikes and tanks. "Boobs on Bikes" attracted thousands of spectators. My favorite line from the article is this: "Police allowed the parade to go ahead because New Zealand law does not regard the public baring of breasts as indecent."
Maybe that Janet Jackson Superbowl incident wasn't an accident after all. According to an upcoming interview in Vibe magazine, Janet is now way into stripping. "I'm way more open, and I know that probably sounds crazy. But he's taken me places I haven't been before. I love stripping too because I know he loves it."
