Ketchikan, Alaska

View from the sea plane flying around Ketchikan.

Our sea plane landed, and we got out and stood on the loading platform. It was an awesome site.

This bald eagle was rescued. It suffered a brain injury and cannot fly.

To all those conservatives that doubt global warming...the glacier in this photo went out as far as where I was standing in 1955. In only 50 years it has receded 2.5 miles. It used to take thousands of years for that to happen.
More to come...

Nice pics. I went on the same cruise and loved it. The weather was nice (no rain). Too bad you couldn't walk on a glacier because it won't be there next time. . .
Its not the argument that the temperature hasn't risen... or that the ice hasn't melted... its that the correlation between rising co2 levels and rising temperatures isn't necessarily causation...
Images affect people... but sometimes its better to think things through...
I'm not 100% on this issue myself... and I believe in less greenhouse emissions... but I focus on the rising asthma over the melting of glaciers, something which has happened countless times in the cycle of climate on our planet...
