- Guns N Roses set November 29 as the release date for the long-awaited new album, Chinese Democracy. This will be the first new GnR album since 1991's Use Your Illusion I and II. The last GnR release, Greatest Hits, sold over 2 million copies without a single new song. The band's label, Geffen Records, has set previous release dates that have never been met.
- Justice Sandra O'Connor announces retirement from the Supreme Court. While everyone was waiting for an announcement from the 80 year old Chief Justice, the 75 year old O'Connor went under the radar. Remember, "advise and consent" means nothing to Bush and his cronies.
- Run DMC's classic albums to be re-issued this September. The band's most influential albums - King of Rock, Raising Hell, and Tougher Than Leather -- will be released with bonus tracks on Sept. 5. Among the bonus tracks is Run DMC's version of "Slow and Low" which they gave to the Beastie Boys for their License To Ill album.
