- Omaha's The Faint to perform tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live. This will be the network TV debut for this band. The last Omaha artist to perform on national TV was Bright Eyes on Leno. Let's see if this performance is as "controversial"
- F.E.C. to investigate the finances of Senator Bill Frist (R-TN, Majority Leader). Looks like he misled his contributors about the financial state of his campaign. Seems the good doctor (who can diagnose patients throught the TV) was unable to diagnose the status of his finances.
- Pink Floyd to re-unite for Live 8 benefit concert. Roger Waters will rejoin Pink Floyd for this concert. He left the band more than 20 years ago, and has not performed with them since.
- Tucker Carlson's new show, 'The Situation,' begins tonight on MSNBC. Wow! How different. Another know-it-all right-winger with his own TV show. Kudos to MSNBC for such an original idea!
- Gallery of cute blonde newcomer Dorina.

- Bush Administration official Philip Cooney, a former oil lobbyist who altered the government's environmental reports on linkage between fossil fuels and global warming, has resigned. - Man dies at last weekend's Bonaroo Music Festival. The Tennessee concert featured artists such as Dave Matthews Band and Phish's Trey Anastasio. No word on whether the concert-goer died of boredom...
- Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme pleads no contest to assault. Homme fought Dwarves lead singer Blag Dahlia at a Dwarves show last fall. Homme must also go to anger management counseling.
- Nevada Governor to veto bill banning strip club "bounties." Currently, strip clubs in Nevada pay cab drivers to steer customers to the club. Some idiot in the legislature (probably a Republican) tried to make this illegal. It's called capitalilsm dummy.
- Gallery of a new European hottie blowing bubbles. Yes...blowing bubbles.
