• Billy Corgan to reform the Smashing Pumpkins. Corgan bought a full-page ad in the Chicago Tribune stating that his heart belongs to Chicago and the Smashing Pumpkins. He will reform the band after his solo tour is over. He did not state which former Pumpkins (or any) would be in the new band.
  
• More illegal activity from Tom DeLay?? Looks like some Indian tribes were instructed by DeLay to write checks to his PAC which were then illegally re-routed to other GOP funds. Follow the money....
  

• KISSworld gets the kiss of death. The all-KISS retail outlet planned for Australia -- KISSworld -- is being shut down before it ever opened. The directors of the project refer to the news as "devastating." Look, KISS is my favorite band, but I would NEVER go into business with them. They have a 25+ year habit of starting projects and then abruptly pulling out of them. They have left a long trail of investors in the lurch.

• Notorious B.I.G. trial will probe the late rapper's murder. Though "Biggie" was killed in 1997, no one has been charged or arrested for his murder. This trial is a civil trial brought by Biggie's family against the city of Los Angeles and the LAPD. Biggie and Tupac Shakur were both murdered in 1997, and neither has had their case closed.
• Class action suit filed against ConAgra Foods and its CEO. Suit alleges the company intentionally manipulated the company's earnings to hide problems from the public. ConAgra is one of the largest employers in Omaha. If they go down, it will be bad for the local economy. But, if they broke the law, they have to pay.
